Emotional intelligence is required as a core skill in the fourth industrial revolution. With the development of media technology and artificial intelligence, the demand for services and content based on emotion detection and recognition technology has increased significantly. In this course, students learn to understand the properties of emotions, algorithms to recognize them, and the application of deep learning in emotion recognition. To this end, first, the nature of emotions will be treated from a multidisciplinary perspective. Changes in the central nervous system and autonomic nervous system related to the generation of emotions in the form of changes in the human body will be learned. Especially various artificial intelligence algorithms and data sets for recognizing facial emotion and vocal emotion will be dealt with details. Finally, the key technologies and research trends to realize the artificial ego required in the ideal Turing machine will be addressed.
